When the country went on lock-down on 24 March 2019, the people in the entire far-west province were under anxiety due to the entrance of a huge population from abroad. The people who entered were mostly from different parts of India, and also from third countries, where they left for jobs. This is the compulsion for most of the people in the far-west region. The only reason is the limited employment opportunity available within the country and poor financial status. This is the reality that cannot be overlooked in any condition. However, here the article focuses on the threat of COVID 19 that has spread due to the uncontrolled entrance of people from different entering points between the two countries.
In an unofficial record, from 24 to 31 March 2019, more than one hundred thousand people entered from different entering points in the far-west province. The situation was very panic and difficult, which could be judged even by common people. People were tired due to overnight traveling, feeling sleepy, and hungry. At the same time, the management set up for health check-ups at the points was not enough due to limited resources and unexpected situations of people’s entrance. Nevertheless, the dedication and devotion of health professionals made it possible and settled the situation safely. In Kanchanpur district only, a large number of people entered during this period from the Gaddachauki, which is one of the connecting points between the two countries. At the time, paramedics were deployed to look at the health situation of people, which was supported by security personnel for crowd control.
The situation of COVID 19 pandemic at the moment seems under a controlled situation in the entire far-west. However, more attention needed in the days ahead to cope with the situation completely. Being a public health-related issue, obviously, health professionals will be there in the front position in this battle. This is also true that it needs a sophisticated medical weapon in the form of treatment kits and personal protective equipment (PPE) for health professionals to wean the battle successfully. Similarly, moral boost-up for any health expert who involves in the field is another crucial matter to initiate them in the mission. For this kind, the government should provide all the possible facilities which may be professional career-related, financial matter, and for the enhancement of academic career.
In conclusion, COVID 19 is a global public health issue and has covered the entire world. The vaccine of this viral infection has not invented until the date. However, scientists all over the world are rigorously working to invent medicine for this pandemic. In this situation, only the way to protect from the threat of COVID 19 is to be safe from the infection. To do as such, strictly follow the guidelines suggested by the government and authorized health professionals. Being only the battle man in this war against COVID 19, priority should be given to the career of health professionals.
